Frequently asked questions.

Is subsidy available?

Absolutely! As a licensed preschool program, families attending Loving to Learn Preschool are eligible for the Affordability Grant. As of April 2025, the Government subsidy program has ended for Daycares and Preschool programs. Subsidy is still available for school-aged children from Grade 1 to 6.

Can I still apply even if spaces are full?

Yes. Your child’s name will be added to the wait list according to the date your application is received. As spaces become available, families are contacted to confirm if enrollment is still desired.

Does my child need to be toilet trained to attend the program?

We do request that your child be potty trained before attending Loving to Learn Preschool & Daycare. We are here to give the children reminders to use the washroom if they are newly potty trained to keep it consistent between preschool and home. We understand that accidents happen, so please always pack an extra set of clothes. You may be asked to pick up your child from school if he/she has multiple accidents. Please ask your child if he/she requires the washroom prior to the beginning of class.

What food should I be sending with my child?

Meal times are an important time to socialize and practice table manners. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing a water bottle, Lunch, and enough food for two snacks each school day. Lunch kits are kept in your child's backpack and neither a refrigerator nor a microwave is available for your child’s lunch.

*** If you are sending grapes or hot dogs, they must all be sliced lengthwise. This is a licensing standard as it is a choking hazard to children.

What are the school closures?

A yearly calendar is provided upon registration of all planned closures. These closures are calculated and reflected in the cost of our tuition.

What are the STAFF qualifications?

Our Teachers hold certification in Early Childhood Education (Level 1, 2, or 3) and have previous teaching experience. All staff must have a valid Childcare First Aid certification and have completed a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector Check.

How do parents communicate with staff about their children?

At Learning to Love Preschool, we communicate through the My Daycare childcare App. This is where we share newsletters or essential updates, Pictures, Stories ect.

You can download our app on the App Store and on Google Play
